Why showrooms switch
Where a jewellery counter loses money quietly
The rate on the bill is whatever was typed that morning, and nobody can say which rate a March invoice used.
The rate board is time-stamped and every bill records the entry it was made against.
Old gold is a separate voucher, netted off by hand, and the GST working is redone at month end.
The exchange is a line on the same bill — purity × buying rate, less deduction — with the GST on the new piece untouched.
Stock is a register; the showcase is counted once a year and the difference is “shrinkage”.
Every piece is a barcode. Stock Verification by scan lists found, missing and unexpected, per branch, any day.
A salesman at one branch can open the other branch’s stock and sales.
Branch Admin and Salesman logins see one branch. Only the Owner switches between them.
The hallmark fee and the PAN rule are remembered by the accountant, after the customer has left.

What is the best jewellery billing software in India?+
Look for software that bills at today’s gold rate with GST in seconds, keeps HUID with every piece, keeps billing when the internet drops, and shows the owner the shop on a phone. Valenza Retail does all four — for one showroom or many — with bookings, girvi, schemes, karigar, accounts and GST returns in the same system.
Does Valenza Retail work without internet?+
Yes. The counter keeps billing when the line drops. Bills are numbered from the device’s own series and sync to the ledger when the connection returns.
Is it HUID billing software?+
Yes. HUID is part of every stock record and is printed on the bill, the BIS hallmark fee is its own line on the invoice, and the HUID & Hallmark Register traces every hallmarked piece.
Which barcode scanners and tag printers work?+
Any Bluetooth or USB scanner that types like a keyboard — the tag guns and handheld scanners a showroom already owns. Scan on the POS to bill; scan on Stock Verification to mark a piece found. Tags print from the tag templates on a sheet or a label printer.
How is GST charged when there is old gold on the bill?+
The new piece is taxed in full — 3% under HSN 7113, or 3% on metal and 5% on making if you show making separately. The old gold is its own exchange line: tested purity × your buying rate, less any deduction, credited against the invoice total. The invoice prints both.
Can one branch see another branch’s stock or sales?+
No. Branch Admin and Salesman logins are scoped to their branch. Only the Owner sees every branch, with a switcher in the header and consolidated reports. Unlimited branches come with the Growth plan.
Can I design my own invoice and tag?+
Yes. The bill and tag designer is a millimetre-precise template engine — A4, A5, thermal and label sizes, with barcode and QR elements. Design once per company; every branch prints the same way.
Does the gold rate come in live, or do I type it?+
Either. The rate board holds 24K, 22K and 18K per gram, silver and platinum — fetched from your rate source or entered by hand — and every entry carries a time stamp, so each bill records the rate it was made at.
Does Valenza Retail handle girvi and gold saving schemes?+
Yes. Girvi (gold loans) with interest, part payments, release and auction, and gold saving schemes with instalments and maturity against a bill, are both included in every Valenza Retail plan.
Does it prepare GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and e-invoices?+
Valenza Retail builds GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B from the invoices and produces e-invoice JSON, including in bulk, ready to upload on the government portal.
Can bills and reminders go out on WhatsApp and SMS?+
Yes, through your own WhatsApp Business API and your own SMS API with DLT-approved templates. Those accounts are yours and paid by you to the provider; Valenza integrates and tests them.
