How it works
Five steps from ask to finished sample
- 01
Brief
A Design Brief is created — the ask, the reference, the deadline.
- 02
Assign
Routed to CAD or Manual design, into that designer’s own task queue.
- 03
Design
The piece is built on CAD or drawn by hand — any metal, gold to copper.
- 04
Review
Manual Review and manager dashboards track it against the brief.
- 05
Library
The finished design lands in the Design Library, searchable later.

FAQ
Questions about Valenza NPD
What is Valenza NPD?+
Valenza NPD is new-product-development software for a jewellery sample line: a Design Brief starts the request, it is routed to a CAD or Manual Design department, tracked through each designer’s own task list, reviewed, and kept in a Design Library — with manager dashboards and reports over the whole pipeline.
Does it only work for gold and diamond jewellery?+
No. The brief-to-sample workflow is not written against one metal — silver, brass, copper or any other metal you run a sample line in works exactly the same way.
What’s the difference between the CAD and Manual design departments?+
CAD design work (CAD Working, CAD Review, CAD Library, CAD Reports) is tracked separately from hand-drawn work (Manual Tasks, Manual Review, Manual Designer, Manual Library) — each with its own designer directory, task list and reports, since the two processes don’t move the same way.
Can a designer see just their own work?+
Yes. My Tasks and My Designs (and the equivalent CAD screens) scope to the signed-in designer only — not the department’s full backlog.
Does a manager get a view over the whole department?+
Yes — the CAD Manager Dashboard and Manual Designer Head Dashboard show what the department is carrying right now, and NPD Reports cover designed, pending and overdue work by designer and by brief.
Is Valenza NPD sold separately?+
It’s part of Valenza Manufacturing, on the same login and tenant as the rest of the factory.

We will create a brief, route it to CAD or manual design, and show you the manager dashboard that tracks it.
